Man Arrested for Riding a Horse While Drunk on Highway 91 in LA

The LA Times reported yesterday that a man was arrested while riding a white Arabian horse on the 91 freeway in Los Angeles on Saturday– his blood alcohol level was 0.21%. He claimed to be celebrating his 29th birthday. Apparently there were additional charges pending on this young man. There is, in fact, a specific section of the vehicle code that requires a person riding an animal to obey the same rules as a person in a motor vehicle. You’re not supposed to ride a horse on the freeway anyway.
